The Rewrite

Chapter 3: Better != More

The industry is obsessed with the "Feature." Every release must have ten new things you didn't know you needed. We've equated more features with better software.

This is a fallacy. Better software is software that does exactly what you need, with zero friction and maximum reliability.

We've spent too long "reusing" legacy code to save time. But reuse often means inheriting bugs, security holes, and inefficiencies. It means carrying the baggage of 1995 into 2026.

It's time to stop reusing and start rewriting.

TinyThinkOS is a clean-slate implementation. By going back to the basics, we break free from the constraints of the past. We're not building a better version of yesterday; we're building the first version of tomorrow.

When you rewrite for the future, you don't just add features. You add possibility.
